Pinehurst Rangers Football Club was set up in August 2009 with a bunch of great parents who wanted their boys to play football.  We gave the boys flyers to give out at their schools with an invitation to come and train with us and the rest is history!

We have at present two teams registered in the North Wilts League and also within the Wiltshire FA Cup League.  Within the first few months we worked very hard to build our reputation and was able to become a Swindon Accredited Club, within the Swindon Borough in the first few months and one of the first Charter Standard Clubs within the North Wilts League in January 2010.  We carried on with our successes by being awarded the Wiltshire FA ‘Fair Play Award’ for showing respect and courtesy to our fellow clubs, members, supporters and also our football club in the season on 2009-2010.  This was a fantastic award to win, and we were as a club very proud of all the efforts everyone had put in during our very first season.  We are also very proud of coming within the top 5 teams of our age group for sportsman ship within the game of football credit to all our players.

But, as most youth football teams we need to raise much needed money for our club to keep our volunteers trained, CRB checked, Health and Safety to its maximum and for each player to be kitted out with the appropriate kit and training equipment.  We do this mostly by fundraising within our club and the parents, family and friends help to raise this much needed money by committing to social events, such as Race Nights, Bingo, sponsor penalty shoot outs etc.  Our costs are climbing up each year as we have to pay for each pitch on home matches at a cost last year of £45 per pitch and £15 per referee we need to pay these fees x2 each month for both teams.  Along with new kits as the boys grow, waterproof Jackets to keep them warm during the matches in the winter.  Footballs and other training kit needs to always be in good working order.  Our subs that we charge are only £3.50 per week as a lot of our players are from within the heart of Pinehurst .  This is why we are so proud of taking on two youth teams of a minimum of 38 players, keeping them fit, socialising, having fun but most of all learning a skill within football.

We would always welcome you to come along to a training session or one of our many matches this season and get to know what ‘Pinehurst Rangers Football Club’ is all about, please contact us if you wish to come and see us.
